NADP view on international R&D initiatives on new antibiotics and alternatives

10 July 2017

This has started up a range of (inter)national R&D initiatives on new antibiotics and alternative therapies. NADP will engage with these initiatives in order to achieve synergies and focus on strategic priorities. NADP is keen on enhancing international collaboration on AMR, and aims to further promote the research and development capacity of new antibiotics and alternatives in The Netherlands and cooperate with these initiatives.

Kees de Joncheere: “My vision for NADP is to show that The Netherlands has a strong knowledge base, and experience in working in public-private consortia. NADP aims to strengthen international collaboration and will tap into EU and international funding opportunities, aimed at building new consortia that develop new antibiotics and alternative therapies for global solutions. Since the kickoff event in April, I have been discussing the international dimension  with the Ministry of VWS, talking with Dutch funding bodies and planning visits to the EU and others.”
