AMR platform WAH! Accelerator launched 7 and 8 December

India and the Netherlands are joining forces in the new joint accelation WAH! Accelerator. Several AMR-global partners are involved. On behalf of the NADP, Cornelis Boersma and Simon van der Pol will travel to India.
The official launch is planned in Delhi on Dec 8th, preceded by a matchmaking on Dec 7th, both in India. The platform is aligned with the bilateral WAH! (Water, Agro, and Health) agenda between the two countries focusing on cross-cutting One-Health technologies.
The WAH! Accelerator will pursue an approach that recognizes the interconnection between humans, animals, and their environment as key factors to successfully combat AMR. The current partners of the WAH! Accelerator includes the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) from Bangalore, India; The Netherlands Antibiotic Development Platform (NADP) and AMR Global from the Netherlands.
The other PPPs on AMR in the Netherlands are joining the launch as well, along with representatives from RVO. The official launch will take place in the Dutch embassy in Delhi. Bruno Bruins, previous minister of health, will be the mission leader (in a non-government role).
Looking for partners
While both the Indian as well as the Dutch government back the initiative, the WAH! Accelerator is presently looking for partners from the industry that can fund and support the accelerator to become sustainable in the long term.
The WAH! Accelerator is open to partners from the industry and institutions that link their respective value chains from the Biotech, AgriTech, HealthTech and CleanTech industries.
