Horizon Europe launched with a budget of €95.5 billion

Horizon Europe, EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation, has just been launched with a budget of €95.5 billion.
Healthy Europe is a key priority, as outlined in the work programme for Cluster 1 of Pillar II. Cluster 1 has six destinations with the aim to tackle European and global health problems. Destination 3: “Tackling diseases and reducing disease burden” includes the antimicrobial resistance challenge the world is facing. In particular, the European Commission has launched the following call: HORIZON-HLTH-2021-DISEASE-04-05: A roadmap towards the creation of the European partnership on One Health antimicrobial resistance (OH AMR).
